Carrie Stratford

My journey in the travel industry began at just 10 years old, stamping brochures when my mom, Kate, opened what was then Simcoe Town Travel Ltd. Over the years, I’ve witnessed many changes—new locations, new faces, and rebranding (remember Thomas Cook and Marlin Travel?). Today, I’m honoured and thrilled to be a partner at South Coast World Travel, working alongside one of the most experienced and knowledgeable women in the industry, as well as shoulder to shoulder with a team that has over a century of experience in the travel industry.

I’m also a proud graduate of both Niagara and Fanshawe Colleges, where I excelled both in the classroom and on the basketball court. My dedication earned me diplomas (General Arts & Science and Executive Office Administration, where I earned the President's Honour List), an All-Canadian All-Academic award, and the honor of being inducted into both the Niagara College Sports Hall of Fame and the Ontario Collegiate Athletic Association Hall of Fame.

I spent many summers working in the office and after having my 3 kids, I joined what is now South Coast World Travel in 2016 as a full-time Travel Consultant. I’ve had the privilege of helping clients plan a wide range of vacations—from solo adventures and quick getaways, all the way to honeymoons, destination weddings and group travel. One of my personal favorites is coordinating multi-generational family vacations, where multiple generations come together to create lifelong memories.

My own travels have taken me across the globe, and the best part is—there are still so many places to explore!

 Some highlights include:

• North & Central America: Canada, the United States, Mexico & Costa Rica
• Caribbean: Cuba, Jamaica, Dominican Republic
• Europe: England, Scotland, Wales, Portugal
• Africa: Tanzania (where I safaried on the Serengeti), South Africa, and Namibia (where I skydived over the Namib Desert)

I believe a travel consultant is much more than someone who simply gets you from Point A to Point B. We provide the knowledge, expertise, and personalized touch to craft itineraries that turn dreams into reality. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a memory is infinite—and I am so grateful that my clients trust me to help them create those unforgettable moments.
