In May of 2025, I will celebrate 10 years as a Travel Consultant. My journey in the travel industry began in 2010 when I graduated from Niagara College with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
Career Milestones:
As an entrepreneur I have enjoyed many years of Event Planning that included government contracts for Career Fairs, Skilled Trades Conferences, Corporate Events, Small Business celebrations and AGM’s. Planning events demands attention to every detail, marketing skills, problem solving and more, equipped me for the Travel Industry.
2011: I was employed by South Coast Tourism, where I developed the "Cruise the Coast" initiative. This project involved creating an informative map showcasing scenic routes, accommodations, restaurants, and businesses that cater to motorcycle tourists.
2015: I obtained my TICO certification and began my role as a Travel Agent with (formerly) Norfolk’s Marlin Travel and now South Coast World Travel, further expanding my expertise in travel planning and customer service.
Destinations Traveled:
Canada: Extensive travel across the country, including Halifax, Cape Breton, Kelowna, Edmonton, Banff, Jasper, Vancouver, and Vancouver Island.
United States: Various destinations including Florida (Disney, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Naples), Illinois (Chicago), New York (New York City), and Nevada (Reno).
Europe: Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Portugal, Greece, and the Cyclades.
Africa: Morocco
Oceania Continent: New Zealand
Favorite Travel Memories: I have two memorable experiences that stand out:
Backpacking through Scotland and working as a cook at the Braveheart Hostel in Killin, Perthshire County. It was a wonderful experience meeting fellow travelers and exchanging stories from around the world.
Sailing the Aegean Sea with a small group on a G Adventures trip. This hands-on experience allowed me to actively participate in the journey, gaining valuable knowledge and creating lasting memories.
Future Plans: In 2025 I look forward to expanding my Client base with small Groups to explore more Europe! Starting with my favourite destination, Scotland! If you have a group of like-minded traveler friends or family, get in touch and together we can plan your epic journey! I’m no Doctor but I do make House Calls!
Specialties:
G Adventures Specialist
Personal Interests: Outside of work, I enjoy relaxing with a good book, painting, and being part of acting and improvisation groups. Spending quality time with family and friends is a priority, and I always find joy in nurturing these connections.
